Dr. Goodwin is a Christian, mother, scholar, researcher, educator, board member, and thought leader who was once acclaimed as one of the most caring Human Resources professionals.
Dr. Gae Goodwin launched her HR career as a recruiter in the Gaming Industry, worked as a Benefits Administrator for a global construction company, before spending ~10 years with a top Fortune 500 global healthcare supply chain organization and excels in her current post as the Human Resources Department Head for a major electronics manufacturer and distributor.
Dr. Goodwin’s experience in collaborating with business partners to create and implement people-focused strategies has equipped her with outstanding organizational design, total rewards management, risk management, and full-cycle employee development skills. Not only is she passionate about helping organizations implement change management projects, but her natural curiosity and problem-solving skills helps her drive innovative, tech-savvy, and future-ready HR solutions.
Dr. Goodwin believes that Human Resources is never boring and that there are always new innovations in technology to learn. Over the years, her friendly and outgoing personality has allowed her to make many solid business contacts and she looks forward to further growing her career in the field.

These include her expertise in leading mergers and acquisitions (M&A), increasing annual profitability by consolidating operations, and correcting production inefficiencies by designing organizationally effective teams.

Dr. Goodwin has been an outstanding adjunct instructor because she believes in doing several things. First, she accepts the responsibly to be a guide on a portion of a student’s lifelong learning experience. This is achieved by collaborating in several ways on the theories presented in the textbook. She has achieved this by focusing on being grounded in mutual respect and trust with her students as they both share examples of effective leadership. Second, Dr. Goodwin focuses on helping students learn how to apply these theories both personally and professionally by influencing them to develop practical solutions to happening in the workplace, and their lives. Dr. Goodwin also believes that effective instructors always go out of their way to show each student that they are cared about as a person, and as a student. She attains this by spending a lot of time encouraging everyone to go the extra mile in group discussions and on class assignments. She spends extra time showing students how to achieve this by referencing text from their weekly readings in their class discussions, drawing out more information from other classmates, by asking open ended questions, and presenting robust contracting views where appropriate. Additionally, Dr. Goodwin encourages her students to read the instructions to every assignment closely, cut the assignment into small pieces, create a game plan, and develop an accountability partner to ensure that turn in your best work on time. Overall, she brings an open mind to the classroom, by seeking out ways to ensure each student has a clear and concise understanding of the lesson, and are inspired by her engagement, and are encouraged to keep pushing forward through the end. She is pleased to share with each student that she wants them to “Be Encouraged – I am here to help you flourish”.
